Another Design Session wrapped, #3 has been eye-opening. Could not have been more grateful for our 3 speakers.
We started out with a presentation about the birth of Sandwich Library by awesome Maria Bîrsan, great energy and a super journey from an empty Malmaison room to a flourishing space with a great community around. Congrats Maria, may your turn the entire Malmaison building into a library! Follow, visit and borrow their art books!
Up next we had Radu Lesevschi from PUNCH bookshop, the first and best independent art bookstore in Bucharest. Celebrating 10 years this year, Radu took us through a bit of history of how it all started but also through his publishing arm, Punch Press. Incredible story, really looking forward to the next 10.
And finishing up the evening, presenting to a full house audience, we had Vlad Mihai, founder and keeper of Paper Traffic, a local imprint publishing some of the most thought-out publications in Romania. Great authors, strong book concepts, pristine design, an insane amount of attention to details and energy to last a lifetime and 10k books.
